Being a Triplet Mommy Part 2

Whew! It's been a few days, I have been so busy, I haven't been able to post anything, asides being Mammametta, I have started a small JEWELRY BUSINESS, strictly ONLINE sales, so I have been trying to put that In place.
Ok, now I want to try and conclude my last post, on Tips and Tricks,
We have talked about Pregnancy, and a little of birth
Ok, after birth which was through a cesarean operation, you have to be strong, get up the next day because, the earlier you get up and start moving around, the faster you will heal. I remember I got up the next day, not because I was a superwoman but because I had to take care of my little ones.
NURSING
At this stage, dealing with multiple birth, the things you have to consider are, how to survive caring for them without breaking down because, multiple children mothers are more prone to post pregnancy depression, because of the stress.
Firstly, get enough help, this is no time for shakara, when friends family and neighbors offer to help, you should gladly accept, you can use that opportunity to take a little nap. I was so lucky to have family and friends around me, especially my neighbor "aburo", her name is Edith, we all call her SHIRI, she is such an angel, in short she's the triplets second mum. And my sis in-law Big Mummy, she lived with me for a whole year, and I was also lucky to have good house maids.
Secondly, if planning to breast feed, make sure you have enough pillows so that you can feed, at a time, drink plenty of water, get a breast pump for pumping, either manual or electric, so that if you are tired people can help you feed your babies expressed milk. I had a special U shaped pillow, that could help me with feeding two at a time, and had enough pillows to support the back.
The best time to express milk is  between 3 and 5 am, at that time you get lots of milk, because the body is rested.
Thirdly, make sure you know your child, study your child well to know their different habits, one thing is every child is different so you can't expect the same thing from each child. In my case, the first triplet was tiny and was finding it difficult to suck well, he was always grunting, I used to be worried, but i realized because he was so so small he was trying to cope, so I had to be patient with him. Also study them to notice any changes, illness, e.t.c
Even when they are taking different steps like, sitting, crawling, walking, they don't have to do it at the same time, patience is all you need. Every child is different.
The Fourth thing to consider is shopping, if God gives you the grace, just buy everything in bulk, it will be cheaper for you, for me I get more discounts if I buy in bulk, it saves me money and stress.
The Fifth thing is to indulge them, probably with the Television, in my case I used to put them infront of the television at least to keep them busy and distracted so I can have a little rest too, or have time to PING a little......lol
You will see they will start getting used to some particular programs, and would be excited anytime they watch it.
The sixth thing to consider is feeding Time, Make sure you program them to all eat at the same time or else one can die of exhaustion oh! I first started with the 3 hourly feeds, then 2 hourly, I made sure I put breast feeding in the plan and lo give them randomly. Most times after feeds, they sleep, at least il have time to wash or sleep or anything I need to do. In short make sure they do everything at the same time.
The seventh thing is, remember your husband , I know stress and all can keep you from attending to him, but the equation has to be balanced. My hubby tells me, O'seun don't try to impress me, so far my children are ok, I am ok, they are priority for now. And i will be like no! It's not like that bla bla bla! . Anyways, he understood what I was going through, and was very considerate, Kudos to Babametta, okunrin metta.......lol
Lastly, don't forget to appreciate everybody that's helping you, and encourage them because it's not easy for people to leave their livelihood just to come and help you, Nobody owes you anything. I must say I was blessed to have such beautiful people around me.
And to pray for strength, wisdom, grace to train them right.
God Bless You.
